At the start of the early 2000’s a group emerged known as Gun Gang. Having a controversial name and image affected them in good and bad ways. They appeared to be more than a rap group and became more of a voice of the community. A group of friends created a sound that captured the struggles and triumphs of the life in their home town in a city known as Norfolk, VA. Mixing hard hitting beats with the storytelling of poverty-stricken areas of most urban neighborhoods in America. In a shirt time they became a well-known rap group in the Hampton roads area of Virginia. The group included Flame bonds, Pistol Boi Rip, Future AKA Mr. 757, Killah D(rest in peace), and Horse Clydesdale. We take the time to remember the legendary music group that helped push Norfolk hip hop to new levels. Flame bonds actually may be the first Norfolk Virginia music artist to ever release a professional music video on YouTube
